Unique Design X is a curated commercial platform dedicated to the promotion of crossovers between functional art, collectible design, fashion and skate, their community of artists, galleries, collectors, enthusiasts and institutions.
Launched as the first platform exclusively dedicated to collectible design in China during the 2019 Shanghai Art Week and continuing our shows in Paris and the USA, our goal is to be a nomadic platform that enhances the collectible design global community and the creative skate community, encouraging innovation and creativity through multicultural diverse exchanges.
We believe in a pluralistic vision of our shared future that is inclusive of all backgrounds, all possible ways of being, imaginable styles of living & all opportunities for creativity.
2025: CECI N'EST PAS DU DESIGN
“Our manifesto for 2025, CECI N’EST PAS DU DESIGN - THIS IS NOT DESIGN acts as a thought-provoking homage to the surrealist artist René Magritte whose vision sought to elevate the image, the dream, and the labyrinth of the human mind.
In this quest, we confront ourselves with the term “design” now depleted of all meaning or rather encapsulating so much meaning that all meaning is negated, and seek to give clarity and definition by replacing it with the terms collectible design and functional art.
As with Magritte, objects made by artists must serve a purpose beyond the functionality of the object itself, inviting us to contemplate not just what we see but what we have yet to understand with the conceptual enchantment needed to give life to innovative ideas.”

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Morgan Morris Sans has worked in contemporary art and design since the early 1990s. She started at Sotheby’s in London, later collaborating with Leo Castelli in France. In 2000, she helped develop art, fashion, and design fairs across the world. In 2019, she founded Unique Design X Group, a nomadic platform promoting collectible design.
